Next week, Amazon will finally launch its flagship fall series, The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. It’s a show that’s been in development for a while, and Amazon spent a frankly absurd amount money to both get the rights to do the show and do it first. Although official notices are not published Again, social media impressions came out earlier in the week and seems to be pretty positive about the show and what it’s trying to bring to the fantasy table.

It’s safe to say that rings of power has a lot to do, such as a recent report from Business Intern indicated that the future of Amazon Prime as a streaming service depends on the success of the show. But even beyond that, the show will come to define the the Lord of the Rings franchise in the same way as the Peter Jackson film trilogies – for the original books and the Hobbit 2010s saga – did, for better or for worse. The series was renewed for a second season while the first was in production, but that doesn’t tell you much: many series ended up suddenly kill after being guaranteed another season, and it could potentially happen here if it’s not the success it needs to be.

However, this is the perfect moment to return to the the Lord of the Rings the past. The franchise may not be consistent with its releases, but for one reason or another, what it releases can often be memorable. Whether you’ve read the books (or tried) or seen the movies and their extended editions many times, or tried one of the many games that have been released during and after movies, we all have a scene etched forever in our minds, like This scene of The two towers. And we want to hear about it in the comments below.
