star wars actor John Boyega is not interested in returning as Finn. In a meeting with Sirius XM Tell Me Everything with John Fugelsang, the star explained why he would walk through those doors again. Boyega stays busy with The Woman King and Breaking. But, star wars fans are still wondering if there would be a chance to see Finn again. The sequel trilogy’s ending left many wondering when they would visit their favorite characters later. But, it doesn’t seem like any of them are very interested in the prospect. Boyega has enjoyed his time with the franchise, for the most part, but being a part of these massive projects may not be something he enjoys. Now the right script could unfold before him and he could be a Marvel hero. But, for now, the Finnish actor is happy to pursue various fulfilling projects.
“At this point, I’m cool. I’m good,” Boyega revealed. “I think Finn is at a good point of confirmation where you can just appreciate him in other things, games, animation. But I feel like ‘[Episode] VII’ to ‘[Episode] IX’ was good for me.”
“To be fair, [with] the allies I’ve found in Joel Taylor and Jamie Foxx, Teyonah Parris, Viola Davis, all those people I’ve worked with…versatility is my path.”
Her on-screen co-star Oscar Isaac was also asked about a return to the show. Finn and Poe are beloved parts of the sequel trilogy. So, it’s like none of them moving forward would be a huge blow to engage those fans. However, perhaps the stars will change their minds over time.
“I enjoyed the challenge of these movies and working with a really big group of amazing artists and actors, prop makers, set designers, and it was all really fun. That’s not really what I intended to do,” Isaac said in a later lecture. interview. “What I wanted to do was make films by hand and work with people who inspire me. Paul [Schrader]’s movies, the things he did, it’s in my DNA. I am not alone, of course. [For] every actor of a certain generation, it’s the movies that made them who they are, so that’s certainly my case. It is for me a personal turning point and that, for me, it has nothing to do with the finished product. It’s the process of doing that.”
