Actor Devin Ratray, best known for starring in ‘Home Alone’, is under investigation in New York after being accused of raping his friend in 2017.
Ratray, who played Buzz McCallister in the hit 1990 film, allegedly attacked Lisa Smith in her Manhattan apartment five years ago, according to CNN.
Smith claimed the 45-year-old actor drugged her before sexually assaulting her. She filed a police report shortly after the alleged ordeal.
Ratray denied all allegations against him and told the outlet that he “did not have sex” with Smith.
Ratray was arrested last year for domestic violence in an unrelated incident after he was accused of trying to strangle his then-girlfriend.
He was later released on $25,000 bond and pleaded not guilty.
After his arrest in December, Smith began to wonder why his case was not being investigated.
According to CNN, the case was dropped because police believed Smith did not want to press charges against Ratray.
Smith is now “in touch” with officials handling the case. She told the outlet that a prosecutor recently probed her phone and text records and contacted potential witnesses.
The NYPD told the Post in a statement, “The NYPD takes cases of sexual assault and rape extremely seriously and urges anyone who has been a victim to file a police report so that we can thoroughly investigate and offer support and services for survivors. ”
Smith told the outlet that she was “devastated” her report was not immediately investigated.
Detailing the night of the alleged September 21, 2017 attack, Smith said she met Ratray for drinks with her brother and another friend. They then went to Ratray’s apartment, where she claimed she was drugged by the actor, CNN reports.
“I remember waking up and I couldn’t move. I couldn’t really open my eyes, but I could hear what was happening and I could feel what was happening. I knew the other two people were gone and I was still on the couch,” Smith told the outlet.
Smith alleged the actor sexually assaulted her for what felt like “an eternity.”
The Post has reached out to representatives for Ratray for comment.
After his stint in the “Home Alone” franchise, Ratray starred in a handful of films, including “Nebraska,” 2013’s “Blue Rain” and, most recently, “Kimi.”
